The history of the African bus is as varied and interesting as the continent itself. But, while the history of buses in other continents has been thoroughly described and many professionals and hobbyists follow current developments, the African bus remains a mistery to many. However, there is much more to it than secondhand European buses and foreign operators, as we will try to show on the country pages.
While over the years I made many pictures of buses in many countries in Africa, this collection merely forms the basis of this site. Fortunately, others contribute and I would like to invite anyone who can to contribute with information and/or pictures.

Disclaimer:
This site is a hobbyist site. Unfortunately, I can not provide information on bus services in Africa. Please refer to travellers' sites for schedules and travel advise. Links to operator sites can be found on www.busstation.net
